It's important to distinguish these from the custom match settings the game supports across the board. Among Us' mods can range from the mostly simple - such as the Venom Role mod, which turns Impostors into the Marvel anti-hero - to horror-themed add-ons that transform the mood of the game, at least in the right setting.
PC players are used to mods for many of their games, made possible by an open filesystem and (sometimes) accommodating developers. Realistically, however, gamers probably shouldn't expect Among Us mod support on consoles. It's natural to ask if such powerful consoles will be able to follow in the PC's footsteps - that is, supporting Among Us' mods, which can radically alter gameplay. InnerSloth's Among Us is headed to the PS4 and PS5 sometime in 2021, no doubt a welcome addition for people who don't own a Switch or PC, or would just rather not play on a phone or tablet.
